Beth is a trained play and sandplay therapist and registered with the Association for Play Therapy. Through play, sandplay, and creative expressions work, children are able to work through their current struggles and build coping skills for the future.

A play therapist helps a child play out their current or past stressors. Children communicate through their play and are able to demonstrate what they are feeling and thinking about a situation or event. Play therapy helps children process difficult feelings in an appropriate way. Allowing children to "speak" in their natural language of play facilitates the healing process. Appropriate toys, books, games and other clinical techniques are incorporated to help children heal and reach their treatment goals.

Parents are actively involved in their children's treatment through regular parent guidance sessions and family therapy when warranted. Treatment is also coordinated, when appropriate, with educational and other service providers.
