Healing and Personal Growth

Life can throw many challenges, and talking to a professional therapist can help you handle those bumps in the road. Having a non-biased, trusted person with whom you can share your concerns can make navigating life's challenges less difficult. It takes courage to make the first phone call to set up an appointment, but the rewards and benefits of psychotherapy are priceless. I use a blend of psychodynamic talk therapy influenced by cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-oriented therapy and evidenced based practice.

I have a decade of a diverse and eclectic clinical practice that works with adults, young adults, adolescents, families, young children and groups. In addition, I teach various clinical practice courses at Adelphi University and regularly run workshops and trainings for professional organizations.

My practice areas including treating:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Mood Disorders
  • Life Change issues, such as going to college, professional/worklife changes, moving, marriage, divorce, and infertility
  • Chronic Illness
  • Grief and Bereavement
  • Attachment Disorders
  • Issues of early childhood
  • Trauma Resolution
  • LGBTQ issues

The tabs to the left provide more information on particular services for each population with whom I work, a list of workshops regularly presented within the local and academic communities, information on how to schedule an appointment and my educational and post-graduate training background. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions by phone or email.
